STING CARES FOR THE BAGUIO PINE TREES

Sting, my all-time favorite music man, won't let himself be "wrapped around" corporate greed's "fingers" and has moved his one-night show at the Mall of Asia to the Araneta Coliseum in support of the Baguio folk's cause! Their virtual "I'll send an SOS to the world, I hope that someone gets my...message in the bottle" petition has reached Sting's beach! And yeah, Sting wouldn't want to do anything with a corporation who "Murders" trees "by numbers."
You can read the details here, while I go dust off my old "Synchronicity" CD...I actually have it on cassette tape, too, which I bought at P19.00 (so go figure out my age lol I actually saved for it in grade school.  Back then, I was into much more serious stuff like Leo Tolstoy and Carl Jung lol).

                        To our pine trees!

  3. Well, that simply shows how great Sting really is. That move of Sting should be taken seriously by the government and big private companies and should start take good care of our trees. Go Sting like a Bee!

  4. 19 Pesos na cassette tape? Baka naman 190 pesos di kaya? You can't be that old lol! Besides, did they really sell it that cheap? Speaking of the cause, the Baguio officials should not be allowing the destruction of areas just for commercialism. Come on, Baguio should be preserved at all cost. As it is, the area is already overpopulated. As if that's not a big problem to handle, and they go cut down trees?

  5. Nothing happened to the rallies and appeals, right? I didn't get to follow the news about this but knowing our crappy government system, SM would have gotten away with cutting the trees. :(

  6. I like that Sting supports the love for Pine Trees. I hope that our government and some corporations have the same environmental consciousness as Sting does.

  8. Way to go Sting! Now I think I want to go see this concert :) I wish I could be like Sting and boycott SM altogether too, but their PLus size section is the only place I find nice clothes I can fit in (and are age appropriate).

  10. If Sting has made felt his support, shouldn't the government hear that? I hope they will.
