Raising Our Children With Faith

Source: themomcrowd.com via Dana on Pinterest

Raising our children does not come with a manual.  We raise them with a mixture of fear that everything we do will never be enough.  But we raise them with so much love which is but a reflection of God’s love for us.
Raising our children involves giving them the freedom to make mistakes without fear of punishment.  Raising them in faith involves bringing them to church to strengthen and grow in their faith, even if they do constantly fight on who gets the chairs church nearest Mom or Dad or the choir.  Raising our children means teaching them to laugh and to find their joy, their passion in life.  Raising our children means being prepared for the unexpected and never rash to judgment.  Raising our children calls for us to trust and have faith that God will speak to us, guide us, and cover for us when we falter.  God’s love will show us how.

  1. It is important to raise our kids to have faith. I agree completely. It helps one deal with the ups, downs, and the mysteries of life.

  2. I couldn't agree more. And then again, as I always stress, we should set an example. Example and experience are good teachers. :)

  3. Yes I agree with you sis. We should raise our child with faith. As early as my son can talk, I taught him to pray so now he wouldn't sleep with praying at night. And we see to it we go to Church every Sunday so he will be used to it.

  4. Having faith is very important. It's important for your outlook on life. This world is so crazy. It's impossible to even understand - without faith. I can't imagine my life without it, and I want my kids faith to grow and grow.

What's more important (I think) is setting a good example, and being faithful yourself. If your kids see it's real - then they will are more likely to follow.

  6. I believe faith is something that is taught by example and learn as we go along our lives. It is always thinking not just hoping that everything happens for a reason and that things will eventually turn better at the end of the day.

  7. I may not be a mom yet, but I believe in this. It's always best to expose children to faith early, so that they will grow with it. :)

Oh, and if you're interested in exchanging links and following each other on GFC, please let me know through my blog. :)

  9. I too agree that it is very important to build up a child's faith and to introduce them to GOD as early as possible.

  11. Raising our children with faith should start very early so that our kids already make it a part of their system.
