Smile, smile and smile

Ever wonder why all celebrity shots taken by paparazzi, of superstars, are always smiling? This is because smiling actually makes you look more attractive. According to research by numerous psychological advisors, it has been seen that genuinely smiling is far better than spending hundreds of dollars on the finest make-up in the market. According to studies, scientists have discovered that individuals who tend to smile more often are considered to be far more attractive and approachable. The study also reveals that smiling people are often perceived as being very friendly, with a better sense of humour and more approachable to social engagement.

Go for the eyebrows

Ask any diva or natural beauty queen on which asset makes a huge difference to the face and you would be surprised to known that their eyebrows are the most important highlight that makes them stand out. If you get your eyebrows right, you are instantly shot upwards the-good-looking-ladder. Girls who have a long face must opt for a flat brow shape, while those with a round face must go for an eyebrow shape with a high arc. Similarly if your face is heart-shaped, choose eyebrows that have a soft curved arc.

Nothing makes you hot like yoga

Put on those yoga pants and get into your Sun salutation mode or the downward dog position because yoga is proven to sculpt bodies into hourglass figures. The benefits to you, are limitless and countless, but one of the less mentioned perks of performing yoga, especially the locust pose, is that it helps in stimulating the flow of blood to the face and encourages the elasticity of the skin resulting in fresher looking skin. In addition, yoga also helps you to build a strong core that can further strengthen the rest of the body thus making you appear fit and beautiful.

Stay out of the sun

Although there is no better feeling than stretching out on the beach and soaking up the sun rays while getting a good dose of vitamin D, do remember that further exposure to sun can only cause harm to the skin. The UVA and UVB rays from the sun can severely damage your skin and cause it to age rapidly. In order to combat harmful rays from the sun, ensure that you do not go out without wearing organic or natural sunblock. In addition, also wear sunglasses that can help in protecting your eyes.

Improve your posture

The one thing that spoils a good look is back posture. Hunching, slouching and slumping our complete no-no's as not only do they make you look less beautiful, it can also introduce all forms of problems for your back, spine, shoulders, hips and knees. Remember to pull your shoulders back and keep your head up at all times that can ensure a good standing and seated posture.

{Review}Vzone® by pH Care® Bikini Trimmer and Shaver

Let’s talk about one thing you as a woman should never ever neglect.

Feminine hygiene.

Everyone, no exception, ladies, should make feminine hygiene a priority.

Especially since our feminine area is prone to having that funny smell. The volatile mixture of sweat and moisture in that dark place plus unkempt hair can harbor bacteria which gives “that funny smell” down there.

For ladies brave enough, a full Brazilian is an option. But for some ladies (like me) who may be scared of the pain a full waxing may bring, one option is to trim or shave the hair.
And oh, yes, you don’t need a regular pair of scissors or shaver to trim the hair in your bikini area anymore.

Because now, Unilab came up with Vzone® by pH Care® Bikini Trimmer and Vzone® by pH Care® Bikini Shaver, innovative products which are…

What’s With The Scary Dolls?

What’s with the Scary Dolls?

A couple of weeks ago, my teen daughter showed me the trailer of Annabelle, that scary doll that made a brief appearance in the Conjuring.

This week, local TV was full of scary trailer of “Maria Leonora Teresa” about three haunted dolls.
Did you ever have scary dolls?

When Nicole was like around three or four years old, she had a Hug and Glow Baby Ariel Doll.

Four Steps to Happy Holidays–No Matter What

September 1 was a big holiday for us Baguio folks.  It was the day the city turned 105. And like any holiday, I woke up to…

Christmas songs?

Four Steps To Holiday
Now we all know that the Christmas season is celebrated the longest in the Philippines (from September to the first Sunday of January), but I thought it was a little over-the-top and downright weird to hear Christmas songs this early.

But anyway, since I am generally a happy person and I do love Christmas, I really do, I thought of these awesome ways to have a happy holiday – no matter what:
  1. Give thanks.  If you’re ever tempted to be in a sour mood over something this Christmas, reverse it quickly by thinking of something you’re thankful for this year.
  2. Give love.  It doesn’t solve everything, but it does solve a lot of things.
  3. Get busy.  Boredom can be a big problem during Christmas vacay (especially if you have outgrown waiting and expecting for Santa)-ad can actually make your mind work overtime to turn teensy problems into big deals.  Fight off the blues by doing something helpful – like helping your mom order wonderful Christmas decors from this site.  You will be so busy being helpful and kind, you won’t have time to complain or whine.
  4. Get over it.  Don’t be haunted by Christmas past – last year’s disaster gift, the day your sister told you something about Santa… Christmas is the season of hope, after all.  So enjoy yourself and starting this September, resolve to make this year’s Christmas the best Christmas ever.

Live Within Your Means. or Expand Your Means?

I have a confession.

I have plugged the leaks in my personal finance.  I have taken stock of my finances; I have more than enough in my emergency fund, I have properties I am leasing out, and I am investing in the stock market.

But I still have a hard time living below my means and within my needs.

You see, I was a shopaholic.

The mall was my therapy!  I get stressed, I shop.  I have nothing to do, I shop.  I need to get this same blouse I am wearing in a different color, I shop.

Shopping made me happy!

I have curbed my addiction, thankfully.

Kind of.

You see, I have gone through times when money would magically fill my wallet (of course, it was not magic, but I sure did go through those times when money came easily), and I would literally go on a rampage in the mall which was why I ended up with unworn shoes (stuck in boxes in the dark corners of the shoe cabinet) and enough makeup for a family and five kikay daughters.

Until, of course, tough times came and I had to really really think hard if I needed another extra pair of those cute wedges or that new CC Cream.

That was why I secretly resented this:
