Mothering Earthlings: The Hippest and Most Fab Finds For your Little Earthling

Okay, okay.  This post is waaaaay looong overdue.

Seven weeks ago, I shared these beautiful wrap-around skirts on my Instagram.

A photo posted by Marie Bautista-Bulatao (@marie_1102) on

These beautiful wrap-around skirts from the Anthill x Mother Earthling Collection came from Rone of Mothering Earthlings.  Mothering Earthlings is an online shop, 100% Filipino owned carrying the best of the best of baby and kids’ wear and stuff.
Geez, I wish they have them in my size…
So anyway, I said earlier this post is way long overdue, right?
You see, my model – my cousin’s three-year old granddaughter – got bitten – accidentally, let me emphasize -  on the face by our playful westie. West Highland Terriers shouldn’t really be around smaller kids because I read somewhere that they think of little kids as prey.  The bite was not nasty, just superficial, but kind of bloody.
Hailley has recovered, for those asking how she is, and the scar has faded, you won’t even notice she got bitten. As for Philipuss, our westie, he still hangs out with Hailley, although we keep an eye on him all the time (dogs sense if they do something bad, and so far, he has been behaving perfectly well, like he is making amends with what he did).
In fact, he was around when Hailley modeled this beautiful Tayum Sampaguita Wrap Skirt from Mothering Earthlings.

Tips for Taking Care of Your Skin

The skin is the largest organ in our body, but is all too often neglected. Regardless of the season or part of the county you live in, the sun’s rays can be tremendously damaging. Follow these recommendations from the skin care professionals and you’ll be on the way to recapturing your skin’s healthy glow.

Tips for Taking Care of Your Skin

The largest component of the skin is water. As such, it needs constant hydration. Commit to drinking at least four large glasses of water per day. If you wait until you’re thirsty, dehydration will have already set in. Don’t confuse alcohol and coffee with water. These beverages actually serve to dehydrate the skin. Jazz up your water with a fresh lemon slice or teaspoon of pomegranate juice. Avoid sugar additives as the skin reacts negatively to sugar.

Adjustable Dumbbells - Black Friday + Cyber Monday Fitness Gear Deals

The coming Black Friday will mainly feature adjustable dumbbells or selectabell dumbbells. They will be available online with heavily slashed prices. People who are unable to buy them on their normal, inflated rates, will find it much easier to buy them on the ecommerce giants like Amazon and eBay. It serves two purposes: first it will popularize online buying and our new clients will get used to it in a very short span of time. The price incentive for our clients will be too much to ignore and since Christmas follows soon after this Black Friday, they can buy gifts for their friends, relatives and colleagues. So this will help them save some money for other things to buy as Christmas gifts for their loved ones.

I discovered this Baguio coffee shop from Facebook (where we all practically – even the old ones like my mom – hang out). A lot of my friends started posting Instagram-worthy pictures from this cafe and I, being a certified coffeeholic with a sweet tooth (a whole set of sweet teeth, actually)  just had to try it with my sis, Nicole.

Studio Coffee Cafe + Deli

Studio Coffee Cafe + Deli is located at the basement of the the newest building of Norte Dame de Chartres Hospital, the Pueblo de Maria Building, at Upper General Luna Road, Baguio City.

The cafe has a lot of food selections – from complete ulam with rice to burgers to salads and yummy desserts!!!

Discovering Things You Never Knew About Your Cheating Boyfriend/Girlfriend

First love is something no one forgets. When you start to get close to someone or dating, as a teenager, the world looks beautiful. You feel like you mean every bit of the promises to stick together for life. You want to believe that nothing can come between you two. However, it is a smart thing to get to know your boyfriend or girlfriend first. Learning to trust someone is not easy, which is why; rushing into something is not ever okay. You will be surprised to discover things you never knew about him or her using a monitoring or spying app. There are numerous accounts of people who have used a cheating girlfriend app or a text monitoring application on their partners. Interestingly, research proves that women tend to cheat more than men do.

Why I Love Davao and 5 Awesome Things You Can Do There #whenInDavao

My mother-in-law is from Davao (although she has lived most of her adult life here in Luzon) and that is just one of the many reasons why I love Davao so much that I wish I could book our flight tickets to Davao on a budget. Now na!
5 Awesome Things To Do in Davao
I love Davao because of its consistency.  I have spent my entire lifetime in Baguio City where the only weather I know is wet (I am so not kidding.  It can be sunny then it would be raining – all in a span of five minutes).  In Davao, I have learned that typhoons are rare, and days are full of sunshine (believe me, I would love to send my laundry and dry it there Smile with tongue out).
I love Davao because its people, like its land area of more or less 244,000 hectares making it the Philippines’ largest city, have the biggest hearts.  The people of Davao, like its wonderful weather, is one of the most welcoming and friendly people in the world.
I love Davao and its freshest fruits and beautiful orchids.
I love Davao because like Baguio City, its taxi drivers are honest and friendly.  No driver will refuse to bring you your destination, even during rush hour, and you can expect them to give you back your exact change.
I love Davao and would love to go visit again…
(If you are wondering where to stay in Davao, here is a list of places to stay, from budget to high-end.)

How to get there

It takes less than two hours to fly to Davao City from Manila. Book your flight and take any of the major airlines from NAIA 3. You can also catch flights from other major destinations such as Butuan, Iloilo, Cebu and Kalibo, making Davao a perfect stop or even a jump-off point to a multi-city visit.
