What’s a good mother?
One who’s loving, loved, gives her children what they need? Does it matter if she stays at home or goes to work, is married or not? Is in her 20s or beyond 40? If her kids are happy? If she is happy?
Women wrestle with society’s – and their own ideals of motherhood. I found that there’s no absolute definition of the perfect mother. But trying to set my own goals for what I want to be as a mom has helped put the ideal of perfection into perspective.
