I just want to let you know that all opinions are my own and I may earn from qualifying purchases. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. Enjoy and feel free to share with your friends!

I was supposed to post something about being “Sexier in the Blink of An Eye” / “How To Lose Five Pounds in Five Minutes” (Yes, it is soo doable! I will try to post it tomorrow).  However, as I was going through my Facebook feed (which I do, three or four times a day, I think.  I need a rehab), I came across this Coca Cola project video which made me cry.
This Coca Cola campaign was like a year ago, I think, but what makes it so beautiful and timely is that it captured the pain and realities of being an Overseas Foreign Worker, the unbelievable sacrifice they have to go through and the incredible sadness they feel working away from home and family.

Imagine taking care of of other people’s children while missing out on the growing years of your own child…

…and wanting to go home to see your dad who would soon go blind but you can’t…

The opening line goes: “More than eleven million Filipinos have left their families to find better opportunities abroad.”  I really hope that somehow, in the very near future, as the country’s economy continues to improve, we won’t need to seek better opportunities outside our country.  Because home is truly where the heart is.

I'm praying for our country's economy too. I want to raise my children and grow old in the Philippines.

I just hope that those who were left here in the Philippines will consider the conditions of their love ones abroad and will spend their hard-earned money abroad.

Wow! I was teary eyed when I watch the video. First time ko nakita yan. I can relate so much because I myself is an OFW and currently away from my family. The only thing siguro na lamanag ako is that I have a chance to see my family twice a year. Like every 4 to 5 months and when I left my kids eh medyo malalaki na sila. It's true, OFW's are making lots of sacrifices for their families and I salute Coca Cola for coming up with such a project for OFW's.

I remember this video from last year. Its really touching. OFWs really make huge sacrifices just to give their families a comfortable life. My father-in-law is an OFW and has been one for more than 25 years. He only gets to come home once a year. Luckily, there's Skype now so we see him every night. Before My hubby and his dad only communicate through snail mails and the occasional phone calls.

I saw this video too from FB. It's really saddening for families to live away from home but sometimes, this is the only best thing to do. Good thing, technology has bridged the gap 🙂

Yeah the video is very touchy. Working abroad is something that I really dislike. Yes there are good opportunities abroad but does it compensate the time, the loneliness, and the moments that you'll be missing spending with your family.
