I just want to let you know that all opinions are my own and I may earn from qualifying purchases. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. Enjoy and feel free to share with your friends!

Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda Survivor
With everything that our country has been going through
lately, I forgot that we barely have a month before Christmas!  I was making a memo at the office this
morning and I actually put the date as October!
So, anyway, no way will I ever ever postpone or forget
Christmas.

Just because. (I bet each one of us has the same reasons,
and that is the day Somebody great, Somebody special was born and taught us
what love truly is)
One of my favorite things about  Christmas is going shipping for gifts.  I love looking for the perfect one for each
person on my list.
Picking up that one
special gift for that one special person is quite a challenge, but I do have
some gift guidelines.  It has to be
either something that will a.)make her laugh because it reminds her of a funny experience
we shared or b) make her smile because I was thinking of her when I picked it out
(remembering that she loves mikimoto jewelry , for example).
Not every gift I choose hits the mark, of course, but when I do get it
just right, seeing the joy in someone else’s face when they have unwrapped my
gift of love is totally worth the effort.
If there is something that we should unleash in ourselves
this year, it is the spirit of giving.  Be
grateful for our blessings  and use our
blessings to do good.  So often, the best
gifts are the ones that can’t be wrapped – and the ones that we give to those
who can’t give us anything in return.

And as we stay warm and cozy in our own homes, let us all say a little
prayer for our countrymen who lost a home, a parent, a child…

the year 2013 has been a roller-coaster ride for most of us, thus, christmas for our family will be more about thanksgiving and helping others.

Be lucky to have a roof under our head and share whatever blessings we have to others. I haven't pick any gifts for anyone yet but well see..:)

Same here. We will still celebrate Christmas but in the modest way. This year gives me so much lessons in life. I learned more to be selfless and be thankful in every single day God is still giving me. Also, I have learned to appreciate everything I have and to give back in any way I can. Because it's not about the amount, but with the sincerest thought that comes with every single cent we give.

the last quarter of 2013 will forever be etched in the memories of people from the visayas. but i know those who were affected will bounce back and this time, more resilient to the odds they'll be facing. i am just thankful my family is okay. so this year, we're keeping it simple and just celebrate it with loved ones.
