Teens can be such fangirls.
Nicole used to love One Direction.
She’s got Limited edition CDs, exclusive collector’s items and
autographed T-shirts – she collects them all!
Now, she’s considering selling all her 1D Band Merch to buy guitar strings online. She now loves more “serious”
bands who sing songs with more meaningful lyrics. It just seems weird though. Nicole has the sweetest voice in the house –
she used to sing Disney songs to guests and played a major part in a play in
school, but when I hear her sing a rock song, I swear I do a double-take. Teens…

I'm not a Directioner, but I don't think 1D's songs are that bad. I like singing along to some of them, especially the ones from their Up All Night album.
it is a nice move.. at least she's finding a way to get what she wants 🙂
I am a huge fangirl at heart. I scream, I dance, I sing my heart out for all my idols. KPOP related. I even spent thousands like 5 digits in a 3hr concert alone.
I can totally relate to being boyband crazy I used to be one too back in the day.
I get what you mean. I have two daughters, ages 12 and 11. They sound a lot like Nicole. Haha!
I'm also fangirl at heart. I always keep my eye peeled on whats new on my IDOL's life, new CD release and such.:)

I am not afan of one direction but I admire their songs. simple yet meaningful
I don't have any fangirls in the house but have heard about 1 direction..it seems super popular among the tweens.
when I was a teenager, I used to be a fangirl, too. pero not to the extent of collecting things from the bands I like kasi walang budget para dun. haha! okay na ako just watching them on tv. now, wala na, lipas na ang hilig ko sa mga bands and all. tanders na ata ako talaga, haha!
I am no fangirl… and I am not into music! I heard young girls like One Direction but I don't think I would even recognize their songs… RO am I just old!?!
It is better to sell her CD collection and do something else with the money. That's letting go. I know some people who won't sell or give away her stuff even if they're considered as clutter in her house. Sigh…
Your post just reminded me of the time when I was super gaga over the Backstreet Boys! I even mailed a letter to MTV Asia requesting for one of their songs. Crazy. My mom still laughs about it when she remembers. It sounds trivial, but these are the stuff that good mom-daughter memories are made of!
Never got a chance to be a real fan girl. I used to be so shy kasi during my younger years. So that time pag may mga gustong gusto akong bands or singers or actors/actress, I just keep it to myself. Hehe. I never collect cds and photos too. I was so afraid to show and I don't know why.

Good for her that can be a career someday.
