I just want to let you know that all opinions are my own and I may earn from qualifying purchases. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. Enjoy and feel free to share with your friends!

Like any
other mom, I am a multi-tasker.
A very bad
multi-tasker.
Why?  Because I have a particular aversion to
listing everything down using a pencil and a notebook.  Committing everything to memory actually
worked when I was a little younger, but getting older (inamin din!), in addition
to doing so many things all at once, really made me forget things I should buy
on my grocery list (and yes, I am one of those moms who intend to buy a laundry
detergent and end up buying loads of groceries except the detergent) and special
dates like a PTC conference and our wedding anniversary (I kid not! I
remembered it only on the date itself when hubby greeted me.  I realized I was looking at a wrong month in
the calendar!).

That was why
I started to put my lists, special dates and conversations related to work on
my phone and iPad.  Of course, given the
state of my jumbled memory (my excuse was it is an after-effect of the 3
caesarian sections I had, my children says it is age…), I fear of the day when I
will hit “delete all” instead of the save button (and believe me, it has happened
quite a few times to me in the previous years!).
WeChat’s
Chat History Backup Saves the Day!
Did you know
that social mobile app WeChat can be your digital notepad as it saves a history
of your conversation and restores them to any device for up to 7 days via its
Chat History Backup feature?
Setting it
up is as easy as 1-2-3!

Go to “Settings”
> “General” > “Chat History Backup”.
Look for the conversations you’d like to store and hit “Back Up.”

After you
have saved your chats, you can choose to protect them by putting a password:
wechat backup

And to
restore your conversations on any device, just log on, hit “Restore” on the
Chat History Backup window.  The saved
chat/conversation will be restored to your device from the server

So easy, right?

Here are Three
Reasons Why WeChat Serves As My Memory Extension:
WeChat reminds
me of important dates.
I confessed
about forgetting our wedding anniversary, right?  For most people, forgetting an anniversary is
unforgiveable!  But I go easy on myself
(tao lang po).  This happens, plus thanks
to WeChat, I won’t forget our wedding anniversary and other very important dates ever again.
WeChat helps
me keep up with work.
I work on
field and most of my conversations with colleagues and clients are through
chats.  There used to be instances when I
miss important details relayed by colleagues.
Not anymore!
 I can retrieve
important files on my iPad or Blackberry and finish my tasks on time.
WeChat is a
big help in keeping lists and tracking my expenses.
I told you
about my aversion to writing lists, right?
With WeChat, I can make a grocery list and never overspend anymore.  And oh, since I have been trying to improve
my finances this year, I have been listing my expenses every single day.  Yes, while waiting for the bagger to bag my
groceries, you can see me tapping on my phone taking note of how much I
purchased.  I do this every time I make a
payment.  Doing this (plus setting a
limit to what I can spend) every single day is a big help in analyzing my
expenses and stopping my shopaholic tendencies.
About WeChat

I actually
downloaded WeChat months ago because animated emoticons are just so cute, but
WeChat goes beyond WeChat’s popular Sticker Shop.  Some of its features include a highly
convenient and reliable QR code scanning and location-based connection services
such as “Hold Together”, “People Nearby”, and “Shake.”  Supported on data networks and Wi-Fi, WeChat
makes it easy to connect with friends anywhere, anytime.  Users can also choose to communicate and
share photos one-on-one or via “Moments.”
WeChat never
stops in creating new and creative ways for people to connect, communicate and
share.  With its innovative mobile social
communication app perfectly designed for smartphone users, WeChat has become
the world’s fastest growing social app with over 100 million registered
accounts internationally.
WeChat puts
the fun back to ordinary, blah messaging by bringing together messaging, social
communication and gaming in one seamless interactive experience, with
comprehensive privacy and security settings that can be tailored as needed.
WeChat is available free for download on
Android, BlackBerry, iOS, Symbian and Windows operating systems at www.wechat.com.

That's something I didn't know since I am still new to WeChat. I think this is a good tool not only for moms like you but to anyone who have so many things to deal with our busy days. Thanks for providing us this tip!

hahahha. I can really relate on your first paragraph. Yes it's really happening most especially when getting old. jejejje. I remember my mom doing same thing like you. But we must thank this apps that can help us remembering things, task, dates and more.

I think this WeChat has the same feature with What's app. Here in NL WeChat is not that popular atleast never heard of it here. What all the people commonly use her is the What's app. If I install What's app in the iPhone I guess I'll be the only one who's using it here lol!
