I just want to let you know that all opinions are my own and I may earn from qualifying purchases. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. Enjoy and feel free to share with your friends!

For older people like us, moving represents new beginnings-an
exciting opportunity to love, discover and explore a new place.
For your kids who have known your home as their one special
place with friends they have known their whole life, moving is much harder to
comprehend.
That is why we should take some steps to make this
transition much easier on your kids.
Here are some helpful tips for helping your kid adapt to your new place:
Be honest and
straightforward
It is difficult to tell to your kids
that you are moving.  They may even hate
and resent you for a while. Make sure though that they talk about how they are
feeling.  Try to tell them about all the
new and fun things they will be able to do in their new place, but expect that
they will feel sadness about leaving their old home
Organize a going-away
party
Help your kids say goodbye by throwing
a going-away party for your kids and their friends.
Make a Contact List
Try to enlist help from your kids’ friends and
parents and create a contact list so the kids can keep in touch after you move.
Help your kids pack a
first-day box

Help each child
choose their favorite books, toys or stuffed animals that they will want to
have the first day you move into your new home. Instruct the movers in charge
of demenagement longue distance to
have these boxes be unloaded when you arrive in your new home.
Enlist your kids in your moving
team
Don’t ignore the
fact that your kids can help in your moving.
Let the older children help in the packing and labeling and in looking
after the younger children so you can focus on packing.  Hire long distance moving companies canada since they will definitely help take some
of the pressure and stress off.
Go through your kids’
belongings
Spare an hour with each child and go through toys and
clothes that they want to give away.  Let
them do their simple decisions so that they won’t have anyone to blame once
they realize that something they wanted was left behind in their old home.
Help
them love their new home
Talk about parks
and special places in your new home that will help them feel excited about
moving.  Get them enrolled in activities
with other children so they can make new friends.  Help them to fit in by trying to talk with
their teachers to see if they can help in making your children feel more
comfortable in school.

I grew up moving a lot of times. I don't know if this is really helpful for some but for it wasn't for me. From QC to Leyte to Pampanga and back to different locations in QC and back to Pampanga again. I remember crying myself to sleep because it's so difficult to adjust. I gained new friends but I didn't got the chance to have long-term friends. They come and go. As I grew up I realize nothing is really permanent, and a lot of people always change

Nice tips. I haven't experienced moving except when we got married and have our home near our workplace.

I had experienced this twice. My son was about 4 yrs old then. But he welcome naman the idea of moving and we didn't have a hard time explaining to him. Thanks for the tips. These are all great ideas to live by.
