I just want to let you know that all opinions are my own and I may earn from qualifying purchases. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. Enjoy and feel free to share with your friends!

A long time ago, in a far-away land, shopaholic residents like me spend their endless rainy weekends in a box-like structure called the shopping mall.  It was a place where the crowds gather-like there was no other place to go- trying on clothes, testing gadgets, deciding on which running shoes to get.
I am no longer part of that long-ago crowd…
I have wisened up.
I am now doing my shopping the quick, simple and effective way. I am doing my shopping the online way.
In the past decade, the local online scene has grown in leaps and bounds with hundreds of online sites offering a variety of stuff.  It is literally a jungle out there!   But how to sort out the bad to the “pwede na” to the stand-out online stores?
Presenting to you my own top ten list, in no particular order.

Lazada Philippines

Lazada has become a household word synonymous to online shopping.  It is like when people say, “May colgate ka?”* when asking for toothpaste, folks I know say “Nag-Lazada ka?” whenever I get my online packages delivered.

And who wouldn’t love visiting Lazada?  The online store is like a mall! It has everything, with a variety of products from health and beauty to home to fashion to gadgets to home appliances.  The only thing it does not have is the wild shopping crowd and the long lines at the cashier.
Lazada Philippines is part of the Lazada Group which operates Southeast Asia’s number one online shopping and selling destination in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Payment Options: PayPal, Credit Card, Cash on Delivery
By the way, if you sign up now, you will get a P200.00 voucher.

Zalora

Zalora  is the online site to go if you love fashion.  I spend hours going over their massive catalog of over 50,000 products.  Their collection is always up-to-date with the latest trends and of course, the good old classics.

CashCash Pinoy

CashCashPinoy, which has been around since 2010, is a pioneer in the e-commerce business.  Its online site offers a crazy mix of gadgets to fashion accessories to makeup to restaurant discount vouchers to beauty treatments to travel offers at discounted prices.  Buying on this site is a little different from other online sites inasmuch as there is a time involved in buying the item at a discount, i.e., “Buy at 76% off before the sale ends in 2 days 1 hour.”
Payment Options: Cash Collection, Credit Card, Debit Card, GCash, Bank Deposit, SM Deposit, 7-Eleven, or Bitcoin!

Great Value Plus

Great Value Plus is one of the newest players in the online scene.  This almost 2-year old online shop has already catered to more than 40,000 online shippers with its intensive inventory of branded watches, perfumes, mobile and gadgets, garments and bags.

For Metro Manila residents, they are guaranteed a next day delivery of the items they purchased online.  For customers outside Manila, expect to receive your purchases from 3-7 days upon ordering. Shipping fee is free for purchased items worth P500.00 and more.
Payment Options: Cash on Delivery payments,  credit cards, and bank transfer

O shopping

For Skycable subscribers or night owls out there, I bet you are familiar with O Shopping, a home shopping TV program which offers a wide array of products like the ab glider, pans, magic shower head, cordless drill set, I even bought my Laneige BB Cushion here.   Although O Shopping is considered to be marketing its products via teleshopping, I added it as one of my favorite top ten online shopping sites since you can buy their products online.  (You can also purchase by making a call).
