Across 20 years, Blossoming Together…

Panagbenga2015

Happy Love Month of February, everyone!  The first of February does not only mean the first day of the love month for us Baguio folks, but the opening of the Baguio Flower Festival or Panagbenga 2015.
Watch talented Baguio kids do the traditional elementary level drum and lyre and street dancing competition starting from the Panagbenga Park down Session Road to the Burnham Athletic Bowl where the contingents will do their field demonstration.

It will be the 20th celebration of the Panagbenga Festival, with the theme “Across 20 Years, Blossoming Together.”  The celebration promises not only the best the Summer Capital could offer, but also the best of the neighboring municipalities of Benguet especially La Trinidad, Itogon, Sablan, Tuba and Tublay.
Panagbenga is the annual flower festival celebrated every February in Baguio City, Philippines.  The term “Panagbenga” comes from a Kankanaey term meaning “season of blooming.”  This festival reflects the history, traditions and values of Baguio and the Cordilleras.  It lasts over a month long.

Here is the 2015 Panagbenga Flower Festival Schedule:

I never been to Baguio and watch this event. Hope we can visit the place in the near future. I know my lens will be overwhelmed with the very beautiful views.
