If you are one of the 30 or so readers – composed of a group of lovely people which included a site which I thought was kind of like Facebook or My Space – guess what it was , random people who are searching for diets that are spelled die with a T and a weird site named after a vampire and which you should never ever click because it is most probably a spam site – of my personal blog, you would probably have read that I am on the (rough) road to personal awesomeness.
Yes, people, I have been working my butt off (slight lang naman. I tend to exaggerate), because I want to look like Maria Kang really bad!

Yes, again. Anything about beauty fascinates me.
I just hate taking pictures and talking about them because blogging about beauty products is so matrabaho.
But I was into BB creams the year it was introduced (I had to order BTRC online and ask my cousin to buy me Skin Food’s very first ever BB Cream – the gingko one – because the Baguio Branch does not have it yet.) Ladies, if you ever get into BB Creams – and the newer CC cream – always go for Korean or Asian brands because they are much milder and skin friendly.
I have a load of mineral makeup from different online indie shops, many of which have closed by now.
And yup, I have those brushes I featured in a Zalora-sponsored post.
And a large chunk of my supposedly investment money has been going to boxes lately.

So what’s my point?
You see, a couple of days ago, I saw a photo of Foot Appeal in Mom Maye’s blog.
Which reminded me that I actually have a pack of Foot Appeal which I got in my July BDJ Box.
July pa. Ang tagal na! (I have been really neglecting my beauty side!)
What is a BDJ Box?
It is a box of samplers which the gorgeous people of BDJ put together every month. You subscribe and pay for it and be prepared to be surprised. So far, I got the July and the November boxes and the goodies in there are amazing! My friend who got the September box did not like the goodies in there though.
And then there are some goodies that you would not even care for. And that was what I thought Foot Appeal was.
Which was why it was the only packet that remained in my July box . All of the others – like the Too Cool for School BB Cream, Revlon lippie, Beach Hut sunblock, Pixie Dust eye shadow, and the complete line of Dove products are long gone.
Until, like I was saying, I saw a photo of it in Mom Maye’s blog.
Sayang naman if I don’t try it.
Especially since my feet have been super dry lately because of all the running and “circuiting” with the Jillian Michaels thing I have been doing lately.
Actually, super dry is an understatement. It has been cracking lately. Holding them actually grosses me out. And calluses? They are all over. Eww talaga.
Which is why I won’t be posting photos of my poor feet here (the “before” picture! I am actually considering posting the “after”). You have to convince me (and maybe after a million photo filters so the cracks won’t show!)
So, I tried the Foot Appeal.
(One of the reasons why I may have put off using it is because it has a sort of a kinky name or is it just my mind?)
I was having my regrets when I opened the packet. It has a funky smell!
Inside it is a pair of plastic socks and a liquid thingy inside that must probably be a milder version of that potent thing you use to clean your bathroom. Consider these: salicylic acid, lactic acid, paeonia suufriticosa root extract, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, hedera helix extract, cucumis sativus fruit extract, nasturtium officinale extract, citrus medica limonium extract, arctium majus root extract and finally, ingredients you and I are familiar with – purified water and alcohol.
Since aloe , nasturtium (I actually have a nasturtium plant. The flowers are edible. Seriously.), citrus, salicylic and lactic acid are stuff I have encountered and are probably harmless (although writing them in their scientific names make them seem lethal!) and since I actually use a more potent mix for my calluses (DuoFilm – which is a mix of salicylic and lactic acid in high doses), I went ahead and got myself prepared for a better looking, maybe baby-soft, pair of feet.
I slipped my feet into the plastic socks – although I accidentally poured some of the liquid in the right sock -, secured the edges by taping them, then I put a pair of my thick socks so that they would stay in place.
They stayed in my feet for a good two hours. I actually went out and picked up my son from school using them. They were squishing like crazy (I wore my Asics) and my son was like “What is that funny sound?”
I took them off after and washed them clean.
Nothing remarkable.
Maybe, my feet is hopeless.
Maybe, I should have let that stinky plastic pair called “Appeal” stay in my feet longer – like decades – for it to work.
So, I forgot about them.
Actually, I regretted using them.
Because two days later, my feet looked dirty. As in. They looked like they were covered in dirt and they were rough. I am ashamed for the hub to even see them!
Then it happened.
Yesterday (and this is where my piece on Maria Kang and Jillian circuits become relevant), as I was doing Yoga Meltdown and reaching my soles to do the half camel pose routine (I have to research on how Jillian calls this because it is not a real yoga pose since you alternate sides really fast), a piece of white thing flew. I checked it out while doing the chataranga. It was a piece of skin. Ewww.

Then while doing the Full Camel Pose, I felt my soles. They were rough! I wanted to go to the bathroom and soak and scrub them off immediately.
And when I finally checked on my green yoga mat, I saw pieces of skin. All. Over.
I checked on my feet. Dead skin was breaking out. I began peeling them off. It was sort of liberating removing them (and I don’t even know why). I soaked them in water and rubbed like crazy. For a good thirty minutes. And when I was done, I realized I was not really done. There was way too much dead skin begging to be peeled.
However, my right foot didn’t peel as much. Maybe that was because I poured some of the solution out when I applied the product.
They are still peeling like crazy, which gives me a decent excuse not to take a picture and ruin your dinner, but I will probably be taking a pic (without the fancy filters) once the skin has completely peeled off.
Which brings me to my final point. This product works. It really works.
And I am seriously considering buying them. Again and Again. (And if friends are reading this, consider it a part of my long Christmas wish list hehe)

Wow! I do not have pretty feet ( and I have blogged about them. I did not post pictures for world peace. LOL) I think I will buy this one. I am currently jotting down the name. I should get a BDJ box one of these days. I am doing zumba. I should try jillian michaels also.
That Foot Appeal product sounds like what I need this winter. My heels are already cracking from the heat indoors and the cold outdoors… Maria K can keep her hot bod, I'll take the feet treatment.

I like Maria K's body. Whew! I really need to push myself and maintain to be faithful even if the scale is not moving. Hihi. As for the product, I haven't tried it myself but I want to! I hope I can see it in Watsons shelves later when I go to the mall.
Hay beuaty products. They are everywhere over Instagram. I on the other hand is addict with any products that has something to do with whitening. I'm obsessed to have white skin – flawless ika nga.
I have been hearing rave reviews about this one! I first read about it in Frances' blog, forgot if it was Topaz Horizon or Topaz Mommy. Only I keep on forgetting to buy one. Sana makabili na ako once and for all! (BTW, ate, I saw your comment on my Finance Friday post but I don't know why, hindi sya naka-publish sa post mismo. Maria Kang doesn't look like a mom of 3. Grabe, nakaka inspire.
Same story kayo ni Daddy A. Akala nya walang effect and then after few days, ayun nagpeel off na ang dead skin. Now, we have new one at home so sabi nya ittry nya ulit. By the way, I stopped using BB cream. Nagbreak out ang skin ko. I am using the Gluta C Daddy won and I must say it's perfect for me. Pressed powder na lang after, hehe.

I got a peeling socks too from my Glambox last October and I still haven't used it. I can't seem to wrap my head on the weird instruction or I'm just not paying attention to it. LOL!
I remember this post and it's fun to read it again… I'm still laughing about your skin falling of… So, what's the update? Do you have baby skin on your feet now?
