Growing faith in our children is a whole lot like
gardening. We prepare the soil, plant
the seed, and make sure all the surrounding conditions are right for
growth. We water regularly. We provide nourishment. We watch eagerly for the plant to sprout,
rejoice over new shoots, and look forward to the harvest. As parents, it is a great privilege and a
responsibility to grow and nurture our children, children that God has
entrusted into our care.

God’s word is our spiritual food and is vital to our growth.
It is very important that our children will learn and live His word. As “Faith Growers”, we should seek to present
Bible truths in ways that will capture our children’s interest, invite response
and facilitate application. God created
our children with different intelligences and learning styles, and it is very important
that we use varied teaching methods such as free bible lessons for kids, interactive
storytelling, songs, teaching pictures, games, memory verse actions, arts and crafts,
drawing, and other creative activities.
And because we acknowledge that the whole point of growing in faith is
to glorify God, every lesson, every seed, that we grow in our children should
focus on Him: His perfect character, His awesome deeds, and how He revealed
Himself to us through His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

You will learn so much while you are growing your children’s
faith. As you learn from the materials
you will choose and bible passages you will teach, you will also learn a lot from
your children who will interact with you with much innocence and
enthusiasm. That is the great thing about growing your
children’s faith. You are the first to
benefit from the lessons you teach your children. As you pray and reflect on them, you will be
encouraged to align your thinking and living with God’s Word.

My daughter loves to read. So I presented her with my old Children's Bible and my Mom got her a new one for herself. I hope to do more soon.
I remember reading the bible (my grandma's with the thin sheets of paper and small print) when I was young too. For some reason I loved reading the revelation
We are indeed great shapers of our kids' faith..I want my child to be someone with great respect to God and His Word. Thanks!
