Put toy bins where kids can reach them and where they can put their toys after each play session. This early, kids should learn to separate school things from toys.
Encourage your children to arrange their things for school, like shoes and socks before bedtime, so that dressing up in the morning is more relaxed and stress-free. Allow them to choose what they want to wear so that they don’t feel like they’re just performing chores but doing something for themselves.
Split up the tasks according to ability. Sing a “clean-up” song that your kids can always associate with putting away their toys.
Don’t forget to acknowledge your child’s efforts with a kind word and a pat in the back.
