Have you claimed 2016 as your year yet?

claim2016

Err, are you still planning to?
Three days before 2015 ended, a piece of news rocked my comfort zone.

I will be returning to my former high-stress job.
My first reaction was fear and then I started asking why.
I know. I am one of those persons who don’t take nicely to change.
Which was the same reaction I had when I got transferred from my high-stress job to the lesser-stress job four years ago.
Four years ago, my system was shocked from being busy to just kind of busy.  Which made me start this blog, actually. I had too much time on my hands.
But you know, when things slowed down, I began to discover my passion.
You see, being busy with work makes you focus on just your work. Slowing down makes you discover your purpose, your reason for being, you discover that there is something you love doing.
Now that busy would claim me again, my fear is that I would forget my passion.  I fear that I will forget to look beyond the seemingly ordinary to find something extraordinary.  I fear that I will fail to see all of life’s beauty and possibilites.  I fear that my Movie Moments will be few and far between. I fear that Mommy Unwired will be no more…
But then I realized I could try to put time on my passion (which is this blog) as I pursue my other dreams and turn them into reality.
What about you? Do you realize how close you are to turning your dreams into your reality?
If you could see how close you are to success, you’d be kicking yourself that you haven’t just reached out to grab it yet
.
The truth is, no matter how much you feel like a failure, success is literally waiting to flood your life.
The only thing you have to do is tear down the “Success Floodgates” holding it back.

Here are 3 “Success Floodgates” holding back your dreams:

1. Making Excuses

Successful people never makes excuses.  When things go wrong, they don’t blame other people.  They take responsibility for their mistakes and avoid justifying their poor choices.
They refuse to make excuses because they understand that failing is always going to happen. They understand that things are not over when failure happens – it is one step to success.

2. Fearing Failure

Failure happens, and when it does, your world should not stop revolving.  Treat your failure as a step forward.
Most people experience failure and they think they are done forever.  They give up, never realizing that if they tried again, they will soon achieve their goals.
Taking failure personally won’t help you grow. Stop agonizing about what’s wrong with you and focus on picking up the piece and moving forward.
Stop…

3. Beating Yourself Up

Think about it. Can you imagine Steve Jobs yelling at himself, saying that he’s dumb, or lazy, or any of the other million insults people tell themselves? Of course not!
Successful people don’t beat themselves up. They understand that taking your anger out on yourself only pushes your goals farther away. They still get upset, but they channel those emotions into constructive energy. They use that energy as jet fuel to reach their goals.
The truth about success is that you’re closer than you think. Sometimes all it takes is tearing down the floodgates, so you can let your dreams pour in.
But there’s an even easier way to turn your dreams into your reality, and it doesn’t require hard work, stress, or struggle…

You won’t believe the hidden connection that success experts recently discovered behind people like Steve Jobs, Richard Branson, and even Albert Einstein.

Nothing's going to change in our lives unless we act on it and make the change happen on our own. Everything else is just an excuse.

I'm in a situation were I wanted to make a shift in my existing job. I am planning to apply for a more challenging position. But I realized now, that if ever I'll get the post, I have less time in my other activities because the new post will probably get more of my time and focus to work that even after the working hours, I still have to think about the it. Huh! I have to balance things more…

Good luck to you sis, i hope Mommy Unwired will continue for many years. 🙂

Correct, strongly agree #3. I remember Pia Wurtzbach said, if you don't believe in yourself daw, you're doubting other people believe that you can do it.

IF you really love what you are doing you really shouldn't let negative thoughts get to you. I think that your blog will still be up and updated, because you love what you do.:)

I hate making excuses, kung may gusto maraming paraan kung, kung ayaw maraming dahilan. I have a lot of dream also but I still keep praying for them.

Nice tips. I think you are given the stressful job because they know you can handle and do it. Ibig sabihin malaki ang tiwala ng management sa'yo. Though minsan nakakatakot, kailangan natin harapin and think on a positive side.

sabi nga nila "it's better to fail than not try at all" from there we will learn, we will grow and eventually we will succeed. 🙂
