For couples looking forward to having the perfect wedding, I hate to break it to you, but practically all weddings are expensive.
Of course, there are lots of things you can save on especially if you have planned on your wedding day meticulously, especially if you have somebody topnotch like Caleb The Celebrant, but do you know which things are worth the splurge to make your wedding perfect?
Here are top 4 things to splurge on for your wedding day.
1. Your Wedding Ring
A wedding ring is a symbol of your marriage, in the shape of a circle, which means you intend to spend your life with your partner for eternity.
Since it is a symbol of your love and passion for each other, pick a wedding ring that would last forever. Go for the ring that you would like to have, something that speaks to your hearts, something that would symbolize your love forever.
2. Your Hair and Makeup
Every bride deserves to look beautiful (not stressed) on their wedding day. You should look your most beautiful, practically perfect, diyosa*-looking on your wedding day. Find a makeup artist that can accentuate your features and downplay your flaws. Look for one that can channel your vision of a perfectly beautiful day that will mark your “married happily” moment. Work with a makeup artist who listens and puts into life your ideas. Collaborate with a makeup artist who will put into life the happiness you are feeling that day into your overall look.

3. Wedding Photography
A Wedding Day is just a day, which means that all the wedding details which you worked so hard on with your bridal team will just be memories the next day. The food will be eaten, glasses and wine bottles will be empty, and your wedding dress will be put back and stored in a box.
That is why it is important to have photographs to remind you of the wonderful memories before and on your wedding day.
Go for a top notch Wedding Photographer who has the uncanny ability to capture the beautiful…
the funny…
and the poignant wedding moments…
Find a wedding photographer who is great to work with, considers your inputs and whose fees you can afford. Most photographers offer packages, which usually gives more extras and are definitely a steal.
4. The Wedding Feast
Every time a friend or a relative is taking the plunge and getting married, I always advise them to have a FUN wedding party.
Most of us look forward to the wedding feast and more than the food (although it does count big.time.), you would want to share the love, the fun, and the bliss you and your partner and family are feeling that day.
Strive to have a wedding feast which must be one of the most fun and memorable your friends have ever attended in their entire life. Something they would look back to and remember and would want to have if they get married, too.

I agree with your top four, especially on the dress and the pictures. I would also splurge on the food, that's something important to me.
YES! Wedding is very expensive just for an hour. nakakapressure ang preparation and every details dapat maayos. Thank God na graduate na ako at last na yun, hahahhaah!
I agree with the 4 things because those were the things that we really spent a lot. A big part of our wedding budget. If I may add, wedding dress and barong too.
I think my husband did spend more on our wedding rings and it is a very tangible reminder of our vows. But on the other things, we just went with our budget.
Those are certainly important things in the wedding. Photographs are certainly a must for me 🙂
Beautiful weddings always move me to tears. I know that splurging on the 4 things you mentioned here may seem impractical to some couples, but this is one day in a woman's life that they dream of being nothing but perfect. Thanks for sharing this post.
This reminds me of our wedding day. Since we have no wedding planner, Daddy Allan and I were so stressed. Hehe. Anyway, I agree with you sis especially on the wedding ring. I made sure we bought the design we want because we will wear it for the rest of our lives 🙂
Buti na lang during our time medyo mura pa, hehehe. I have to admit that these days, even your cake alone plus your wedding's documentation (video and photo coverage) could really break the bank.
True! A big chunk of our budget went to the photo-video and catering for the reception; and lucky for us, the cost of our customized rings were shouldered by a good friend.
The wedding day may be just 1 day, but it's one that the couple will remember for the rest of their lives, which is enough reason to splurge on certain things to make it perfect and memorable.
Photography! Definitely! It's the only think you can take forever after all the festivities and ceremonies. This is one of the things I've regretted during our wedding, nevertheless, it was still a great wedding.
I agree wedding now a days is so expensive and yes mas okay pagkagastusan wedding ring, make up and photos and food
Weddings indeed are expensive, even if it is a simple and intimate celebration. I love all the photos, especially with the bride. 🙂
I agreed on all 4 listed above! Wedding is expensive and every details need to be perfect and great. Love to splurge on food and wedding ring and clothes and make-up.

Yes I agree! But since my budget's a little tight, my makeup is more of a solo and parents alone. I have little doubts with the photographer that I got but we already paid them half so I don't have a choice but to continue with them. I just hope everything will be fine.
The list is great. Just like our wedding, all the things were picked by me and Mommy. From the wedding gown, ring, reception, giveaways, invitations we included personal touch.
Great list! The wedding feast is definitely one of the most important. lol 🙂
I agree with all of those (although I am not married yet). But for practical reasons, I'd splurge on the wedding ring the most. Haha.
I wished we had money when my husband and I go married. I would have splurged on these things.
