In the years before you hit ten or eleven, your mom may mean the world to you. Everything revolved around your mom and how you think the world of her…
That is, until you hit your tweens-that period when you are “too old for toys, too young for boys”, but just right for fangirling over boy bands (Amergerd! The One Direction single just debuted on British Radio!).
And oh, yeah, that’s the time when you suddenly notice the boys and their secret world.
Mystery #1: Why do boys hate girls?
Boys do not hate girls! (although sometimes, they claim they do.) Boys just can’t figure them out. Unlike girls this age who suddenly notice that boys do exist, boys don’t. They prefer hanging out with the boys playing video games and sports. And yup, they think all that girls do is talk and braid hairs and give each other makeovers which they think is so lame.
Mystery #2: Why are my boy classmates so lazy?

It’s not that they’re lazy. Their brains are just wired to do some other, much more fun stuff, like play video games, than finish your Science Project. If you unfortunately ended with a partner who just doesn’t have the heart to help you in your school project, just talk to him that you need to finish your project. Offer pizza or turn the TV on while you try
Mystery #3: Why is my kuya (older brother) so over protective?

The older your brother gets, the more he will be over-protective of his little sister. He thinks his little sis is so naive she will easily be fooled. If your older brother follows you around, spooking your friends and the boy who sort of likes you, don’t feel insulted. He is just looking out for you and just making sure that you are always okay.
Mystery #4: Why do boys tease girls?
You’ve probably heard that if a boy teases you, it means he likes you. Maybe not always in a “you’re my secret crush” kind of way, but at the very least, he wants you to pay attention to him. Since boys aren’t very good at expressing their feelings and barf at mush gestures, teasing you is the only way to get you to talk to him. It could be that he thinks you’re nice and pretty and smart, or that he wants to be your pal. But if his teasing is bordering on bullying, speak up and let him know you don’t appreciate meanness.
Mystery #5: Why do boys think that they’re better than girls?
Wait? My son won't think I'm the world forever?
What the?
Thanks for this. I just think it's important to point out that everybody is different and not every single boy or girl is the same. Just like anything, there are deviations.
My first son is already in his tween years and every time I look at him I'm amazed at how fast time goes. Of course, I see him growing up to be more mature but at the same time there are still childish ways in him.
I hate that about Boys LOL. They think they're cool but they are not really. LOL

i remember when i was in gradeschool boys are really irritating.. hahaha they keep on teasing me. arg!
I'll be sure to keep those in mind when my kids hit tween age. Oh my, I'm in for a lot of trouble.
Those are interesting interesting facts about tweens Sis! I think this is one of the difficult stage that kids need to undergo but of course with Mom's guidance, everything will be okay.
Good questions. Love the #3. Oh I wished that someday we'll have a son. That way, he'll make sure that big boys will not just bother his big sisters 🙂
I'll keep this in mind.. for me to be prepared when the son reach his teen age.. Singlemom Reviews
I remember my older brother back then. I don't think he was over protective to me, he was irritating, lagi ka mi nag-aaway, Heto naman ako na ayaw patalo, ayun parati na lang kami napapalo ni Mama. hehehe
Also I hate boys too during my elementary days they always tease me because my name is January. Parati na lang kinakanta ang january..february..etc etc. hehehe
