I just want to let you know that all opinions are my own and I may earn from qualifying purchases. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. Enjoy and feel free to share with your friends!

I saw this photo on a Facebook post of my son’s preschool teacher who is now based in Singapore:

From Tin Zap’s Facebook Page

“3 yrs old n studyante namin, naka iphone4! Seriously, kanya ung phone! Wwhhhaat??”
“(Our 3-year old student is using iPhone4. Seriously.  She OWNS the phone.)”

Her co-teacher called up the child’s mom and kindly told her, “Ma’am, I think you left your phone in your daughter’s bag blah blah blah…” and the mom went, “No, la.  That phone is hers.”

Comments???Because I have a mouthful, but this is supposed to be wordless Wednesday. (whispering… a child that age shouldn’t be having gadgets like that as her toy!I bet she doesn’t even know how to call.  Why didn’t the mom just buy her a toy phone (the one that says “Hello, operator” in a Chinese accent over and over again) and toss that old iphone to a low tech person like me hehe?)

I know!!!But phones are not toys (although they do offer some educational games ?not sure because I don't even own one). I personally think kids should get their butt moving and walk or bring back the outdoor games we used to play like patintero and sipa. My girls and my little boy play Twister, a board games where they make the craziest poses.

Hahaha. Grabe, iphone agad. Anyway, parents should make sure that kids using this at early stage are properly guided.

Baka naman pampatahimik lang sa bata. Sometimes, parents tend to give their children gadgets so that their kids won't make kulit to them.

I think it is ridiculous for a parent to give such a young kid an iphone. Why do you need an iphone when you can always contact the childcare centre to find out about your child if needed?

    • venessapaula1@gmail.com says

      October 25, 2012 at 12:25 pm

I don't think the iphone was even for contacting the parent because the kid is just three years old.

can you adopt me and buy me an iphone too? hehehe i think if you're living in Singapore it's safer to let your child roam around with an iphone. but here in the Philippines, i am sure bad people will get it to your child.

Pero alam mo, sometimes nga, mothers err in giving in to their child's whims (although it may not be the case here kasi the child is only 3 years old pala…)

Marie, it has been a week now and the transition of my domain name has not happened. Ano kaya problema? But I tried to check if my domain name is available from the "basics" but di na daw. So why is it taking quite long? I'm getting worried na ๐Ÿ™

You'd be surprised how fast kids learn nowadays. My 2 year old uses my Iphone too LOL! And yes, she knows how to work it and knows how to use it. She even talks to siri to open her apps or video when she's lazy LOL!

    • venessapaula1@gmail.com says

      October 28, 2012 at 8:28 am

Oh, that is soo cool. I know, they do learn a lot in so short a time. Like I said, my two year old niece uses an ipad (plays starfall and stuff). I remember my girl when she was 7 years old. I always let her bring an old cellphone to school and that definitely was a lifesaver. She texted me "mommy, I am sick" before she had a seizure for high fever. I was able to get to her on time

Sis, you just violated the most basic rule of this meme lol! I'm afraid you cannot go wordless hahaha! Seriously, I think she's too young for an iPhone. Toys are getting expensive huh?!

    • venessapaula1@gmail.com says

      October 28, 2012 at 8:43 am

Haha!!!I cant go wordless even in real life!!!I run talking to myself nga eh (stress test!!!)

  14. Pinay Ricamora says

    October 27, 2012 at 5:59 am

I agree toys are getting expensive… I used to joke, I wouldn't want to bribe my child to do anything great because they have more expensive tastes…no longer just a Jollibee meal but gadgets instead! So I left it at that…no need to excel too much!

    • venessapaula1@gmail.com says

      October 28, 2012 at 8:45 am

Also with teens. They get good grades but that is always equal to an android or an iphone. When they were my age, I am happy just presenting my good grades…

Seriously? I don't want to judge but shouldn't we be giving our kids things fit for their age?

Super hi-tech na mga kiddos these days. We were in the park this afternoon, my kids and her cousins were playing at the playground nearby, running and sliding and rolling over the grass. When I looked at the kids behinds us, aba naka iPad and iPhone at nakaupo pa mga bagets. Hehehe! Visiting from CommEx 10/23.
